30-Hour Construction Delegation Full Job Description The Site Superintendent in government construction is responsible for supervising and coordinating all on-site activities, ensuring that projects are completed within budget and on time. Also, the superintendent liaises with architects, project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders, ensuring compliance with contracts and government regulations.
Job Description Project Planning:
Work with the project managers and other stakeholders to develop project plans, including schedules, budgets, manpower requirements, and material needs.
Site Management:
Supervise and coordinate all on-site activities, ensuring that the work is being executed in compliance with project plans and government regulations. Supervise the daily construction activities at the site. Ensure completion of all government reporting.
Technical Knowledge:
Review and analyze blueprints, drawings, and specifications, ensuring that the construction and installation activities meet the project's technical requirements and codes.
Communication:
Communicate progress, delays, and issues to the project manager, stakeholders, and other members of the project team regularly. Address issues and concerns raised by stakeholders and take action to resolve conflicts.
Quality Control and Safety:
Ensure that work is performed to the required level of quality and safety measures are strictly adhered to including compliance with environmental, health, and safety regulations.
Team Leadership and Training:
Lead and mentor the project team, delegate tasks as appropriate and manage project team members' performance. Requirements Current
OSHA 30 EM 385-1-1 3-5
years of experience in construction management Excellent leadership, communication, organizational and problem-solving skills. Knowledge of federal, state, and local government regulations and procurement procedures
