In this role, you will create engaging, developmentally appropriate activities that promote social, emotional, cognitive, and physical growth. Your enthusiasm and dedication will help foster a safe, welcoming space where children can explore, learn, and thrive. Responsibilities Design and implement age-appropriate curriculum plans that support early childhood development and literacy education. Foster a positive classroom atmosphere through effective classroom management and behavior management strategies. Engage children in educational activities that promote physical activity, creativity, and social skills, including teaching physical education and preschool skills. Support children with special needs through early intervention techniques and individualized attention. Maintain a safe environment by adhering to childcare standards, child welfare policies, and health protocols. Communicate regularly with parents or guardians regarding children's progress, behavior, and developmental milestones. Manage classroom routines efficiently, including lesson planning, daily schedules, and standardized testing when applicable. Skills Strong knowledge of childhood development principles and early childhood education best practices. Experience with curriculum development, lesson planning, and classroom management in daycare or preschool settings. Ability to work effectively with children of various ages, including toddlers and preschoolers. Familiarity with Montessori methods or other specialized educational approaches is a plus. Excellent communication skills to collaborate with parents, colleagues, and children alike. Experience working with children with special needs or in early intervention programs is desirable.
