This role exists to support disciplined planning, inspection, and coordination while learning to operate Marian's field operating systems with consistency and rigor. The Assistant Superintendent produces results by preparing work before it starts, tracking make-ready conditions, coordinating trades within assigned areas, inspecting safety and quality using approved standards, and escalating issues early. This role is not responsible for overall project outcomes but is expected to demonstrate reliability, preparation, and inspection discipline at all times. This position will be specifically for our active Eastfield Reserve project located in Evansville, IN. This job is expected to last another 17 months. Once completed, this position will be released. Key Responsibilities Endorse Standards (Field System Support) Inspect for Results (Assigned Scope Verification) Lead & Support Crews / Trades Follow-Up & Accountability Qualifications Previous experience in construction supervision, trade leadership, or equivalent. Working knowledge of construction sequencing, safety regulations, and quality standards. Ability to observe work critically and communicate clearly. Willingness to learn and operate standardized systems and tools. Positive attitude toward discipline, accountability, and continuous improvement. Excellent written/oral communication and negotiation skills. Ability to read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and schedules. Applicant must have a positive attitude towards change. Able to identify the need, remove the barriers and has the know how to make things happen. Values diversity of ideas, opinions, and people. Physical Demands and Work Environment While performing the duties of this role, the employee is regularly required to listen and take notes, type on a computer, and speak on calls and in person. This position will work in an active construction work site. The employee must be able to navigate a construction work area which could include walking long distances on uneven terrain, up and down stairs, and/or standing for long periods of time. Regularly required to stand, walk, climb ladders, bend, kneel, and work in physically demanding conditions. Work is performed outdoors and indoors in varying weather and site conditions. Exposure to loud noise, dust, and construction hazards. This position is a salaried position that may require investment of time and effort beyond a "9-to-5" work week. Position is fast paced, deadline oriented, and this role will be faced with various interruptions. Position requires multi-tasking daily, as well as coordination with others. Must be able to lift and carry materials and tools weighing up to 50 pounds.
