Position Summary & Responsibilities The Project Manager serves as DJ Construction's primary leader for assigned construction projects and the main point of contact for owners throughout construction. This role is responsible for leading the entire project lifecycle—from beginning and to end—while ensuring every project is completed safely, on schedule, within budget, and at the quality our clients expect. Success in this role requires strong leadership, excellent communication, sound financial management, and the ability to build trust with clients, trade partners, and field teams. Project Leadership Lead commercial construction projects through preconstruction to construction and through completion. Serve as the primary contact for project owners throughout construction. Provide leadership to Superintendents, Subcontractors, Project Coordinators, and project teams. Make critical project decisions regarding schedule, quality, budget, and execution. Project Management Lead the transition from preconstruction into construction. Develop and maintain project schedules. Conduct regular jobsite visits and owner meetings. Lead project kickoff meetings and long-range planning sessions. Manage RFIs, submittals, change orders, punch lists, and project documentation. Ensure project documentation remains accurate and current. Financial Management Monitor project budgets and profitability. Track project costs against estimates. Prepare project billings and financial reports. Review invoices and monitor subcontractor performance. Participate in monthly project financial reviews. Safety & Quality Partner with Project Superintendents to ensure jobsite safety. Promote a culture of quality craftsmanship. Help ensure projects meet DJ Construction's standards for excellence. Required Qualifications Strong understanding of commercial construction practices Excellent leadership and communication skills Proven ability to manage multiple projects and priorities Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities Financial and budget management experience Ability to build strong client relationships Proficiency with Microsoft Office Preferred Qualifications 5+ years of commercial construction project management experience Experience with construction management software (Timberline/Sage, Procore, or similar) Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field Experience leading commercial construction teams Proficiency with Procore construction software What Makes Someone Successful at DJ Construction?
