Job Description
Position Summary We are seeking an experienced Field Project Manager with a strong background in masonry and both residential and commercial construction. The ideal candidate will have at least 3 years of experience in the construction industry and a proven track record managing field operation, supervising work crews, and delivering successful projects on time and within scope. Key Responsibilities Lead and manage day-to-day field operations on residential and commercial masonry/construction projects, including new builds, additions, and renovations. Possess in-depth product knowledge of masonry, stone, hardscape products, windows, doors, and fireplaces, and manage the processing, procurement, delivery, and installation of these building materials. Actively supervise construction crews on residential and commercial job sites to ensure work is performed safely, efficiently, and in accordance with plans, specifications, and quality standards. Enforce OSHA and company safety policies and procedures; participate in jobsite safety meetings and address safety issues promptly. Coordinate work crew schedules, subcontractors, and equipment to meet project deadlines and contract requirements for multiple residential and commercial jobs. Assist field crews with hands-on installation and problem-solving on residential and commercial masonry/construction projects when needed. Oversee inventory and material management, including verifying quantities, scheduling deliveries, and minimizing shortages or delays that could impact project timelines. Read and interpret computer-based construction documents, blueprints, and specifications to support planning, material takeoffs, staffing, mobilization, and full contract implementation. Utilize MAS 90 (or similar software) for project tracking, purchase orders, job costing, and internal communication. Inspect work in progress and completed work to verify quality, adherence to design, and compliance with codes and company standards. Communicate regularly with ownership, office staff, vendors, and residential and commercial clients regarding job status, changes, and any issues impacting cost, schedule, or quality. Prepare and maintain project documentation, including daily reports, time sheets, delivery tickets, and photos as required. Perform other related duties as assigned. Qualifications High school diploma required; college degree or technical training in Construction Management, Building Trades, or a related field preferred. Minimum of 3 years' construction management or field supervision experience in the residential and/or commercial construction industry; masonry experience strongly preferred. Strong understanding of masonry methods, materials, and installation practices (brick, block, stone, veneer, hardscape) in both residential and commercial settings. Valid Driver's License and reliable transportation. Strong organizational and time-management abilities with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple residential and commercial jobs simultaneously. Proven ability to provide excellent customer service with homeowners, builders, general contractors, and developers. Excellent verbal and written communication skills and strong interpersonal skills for working with field crews, subcontractors, and clients. Ability to work independently while supporting a team-oriented environment. Demonstrated ability to manage multiple crews on different job sites under varying contractual requirements. Ability to communicate verbally, read, and write in English. Compensation and Benefits Competitive salary, commensurate with education, masonry/construction background, and management experience.
