Furlong Building is hiring! We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Project Superintendent to join our team. Candidates with eight or more years of industrial and ground-up construction experience are preferred. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership, communication, scheduling, and project coordination skills, as well as the ability to travel as required. Position Summary The Superintendent, working closely with the Project Manager, is responsible for the overall success of each project from inception through final close-out. This position oversees all on-site construction activities and plays a key role in managing project quality, schedule, safety, coordination, and customer satisfaction. Job Responsibilities Provide overall on-site project coordination and supervision. Ensure subcontractors and suppliers comply with project requirements and perform according to the established project schedule. Monitor and maintain quality control in accordance with project drawings and specifications. Coordinate required testing and inspections with consulting engineers and the Owner's representatives. Oversee project safety and housekeeping for employees and subcontractors while ensuring compliance with OSHA standards. Maintain effective communication with subcontractors, suppliers, project team members, and customers. Schedule and lead project coordination meetings. Ensure all required permits and inspections are completed accurately and in a timely manner. Review shop drawings and monitor manpower and production levels. Purchase incidental materials and coordinate equipment rentals as needed. Maintain accountability for company tools and equipment borrowed from the shop or rented from outside vendors. Complete daily Field Reports and organize and manage all field documentation and paperwork. Maintain current sets of as-built drawings and specifications throughout the project. Monitor adherence to the construction schedule and project budget. Schedule and coordinate inspections and quality-control activities. Compile and organize all required project close-out documentation. Serve as a positive representative and goodwill ambassador for Furlong Building, promoting exceptional customer satisfaction and strong client relationships. Qualifications Eight or more years of industrial and ground-up construction experience preferred. Proven experience managing and coordinating construction projects from start to finish. Strong knowledge of construction drawings, specifications, scheduling, quality control, and safety procedures. Knowledge of OSHA standards and construction safety requirements. Excellent leadership, organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities and maintain accurate project documentation.
