Hiring Agency Justice & Public Safety Cabinet | Department of Juvenile Justice Location 1025 Capital Center Drive Frankfort, KY 40601 USA Description The Kentucky Department of Juvenile Justice is a multi-faceted agency that serves juveniles of the Commonwealth. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following: This position will have total oversight of all construction projects for the Department of Juvenile Justice (DJJ). This position will also serve as the chair for any special projects handed down by the Commissioner or Cabinet Secretary. Manages and oversee the administration and management of all construction projects for DJJ. Meets with Executive staff to plan and discuss construction projects to determine goals of the desired outcome of operational needs. May supervises construction staff, approve timesheets and complete employee evaluations. Creates the scope of work for construction projects based on operational needs and available funds. Develops, organizes, and maintains project files and documentation to support new construction projects. Works with Finance and Administration Cabinet to coordinate the completion of construction projects. Attends construction meetings to resolve problems and monitors progress of project. Administers special construction projects. Provides technical assistance and budget control over projects. Has responsibility for the approval and maintenance of project records during design and construction. Reviews and interprets departmental rules, regulations, and policies. Assists in the development of departmental policies. Attends all required meetings and trainings. Performs other duties as required. Minimum Requirements
