Position Summary Olympic Construction is seeking an experienced and highly organized Project Manager to oversee construction projects from preconstruction through closeout. The Project Manager will be responsible for managing schedules, budgets, subcontractors, vendors, documentation, client communication, and overall project execution. This role requires strong leadership, clear communication, attention to detail, and the ability to coordinate between field teams, office staff, subcontractors, suppliers, inspectors, and clients. The ideal candidate is proactive, accountable, and able to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced construction environment. Key Responsibilities Manage construction projects from start to finish, including planning, scheduling, execution, and closeout. Review project drawings, specifications, contracts, scopes of work, and schedules. Coordinate with superintendents, field crews, subcontractors, suppliers, engineers, architects, and clients. Develop and maintain project schedules, ensuring work progresses according to plan. Track project budgets, costs, change orders, purchase orders, and billing. Prepare, submit, and manage RFIs, submittals, change orders, meeting minutes, and project documentation. Monitor subcontractor performance, manpower, deliveries, and jobsite progress. Identify project risks, delays, conflicts, or cost impacts and work proactively to resolve them. Conduct and participate in project meetings with internal teams, clients, subcontractors, and vendors. Ensure work is completed according to drawings, specifications, quality standards, and safety requirements. Support permitting, inspections, material procurement, and project logistics as needed. Maintain strong communication between the field and office to ensure project information is accurate and current. Lead project closeout, including punch lists, warranties, final documentation, and client turnover. Qualifications Previous experience as a Project Manager, Assistant Project Manager, Project Engineer, or similar construction role. Strong understanding of construction processes, scheduling, budgeting, and field coordination. Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, contracts, and scopes of work. Experience managing subcontractors, vendors, project documentation, and client communication. Strong organizational, problem-solving, and time-management skills. Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and projects while maintaining attention to detail. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Proficiency with construction management software, Microsoft Office, email, and scheduling tools. Ability to work effectively with field teams, office staff, clients, subcontractors, and suppliers. Valid driver's license and ability to travel to job sites as needed. Preferred Qualifications Experience in commercial, residential, concrete, masonry, general construction, or related trades. Experience with Procore, Bluebeam, Microsoft Project, Buildertrend, or similar project management software. Knowledge of safety standards, quality control, permitting, and inspection processes. Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, Business, or related field preferred but not required. OSHA certification or other construction safety training is a plus. Ideal Candidate The ideal candidate is a dependable, detail-oriented leader who takes ownership of projects and follows through on commitments. They are comfortable working with both field and office teams, communicating with clients and subcontractors, solving problems quickly, and keeping projects organized, on schedule, and within budget. Work Environment This position includes both office and field responsibilities. The Project Manager should be comfortable visiting active job sites, walking projects, attending meetings, reviewing field conditions, and coordinating with superintendents and crews. Compensation Compensation will be based on experience, qualifications, and project management background.
