General Construction Site Superintendent Salary:
$65,000-$75,000 annually Travel Required Arrowood Kakinah Enterprise is a rapidly growing Tribally owned construction company specializing in commercial construction, heavy civil construction, and government contracting. We are seeking an experienced, motivated, and safety-focused General Construction Site Superintendent to oversee field operations on federal, tribal, commercial, and municipal construction projects. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing daily jobsite activities, coordinating subcontractors, ensuring quality control, maintaining project schedules, and enforcing all safety requirements while delivering projects on time and within budget. Position Summary The General Construction Site Superintendent is responsible for directing all on-site construction activities from project mobilization through completion. This position requires strong leadership, excellent communication skills, and extensive experience managing commercial and heavy civil construction projects. The Superintendent will work closely with project managers, owners, engineers, inspectors, and subcontractors to ensure projects meet all contract requirements, safety regulations, and quality standards. Compensation $65,000-$75,000 annually , depending on qualifications and experience. Responsibilities Direct and supervise all daily construction activities on assigned projects. Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers, inspectors, and project stakeholders. Develop and maintain project schedules. Ensure compliance with project specifications, contract documents, and government regulations. Implement and manage project safety programs. Conduct daily safety meetings and jobsite inspections. Maintain project documentation, daily reports, and field records. Review drawings, specifications, submittals, and Requests for Information (RFIs). Coordinate inspections and testing activities. Manage project quality control requirements. Oversee concrete operations, earthwork, utilities, grading, drainage, and other heavy civil construction activities. Identify and resolve field issues to minimize project delays. Maintain professional communication with owners, architects, engineers, and government representatives. Ensure projects remain on schedule and within budget. Travel to project sites as required. Minimum Qualifications Minimum 5 years of experience as a Construction Superintendent managing commercial and/or heavy civil construction projects. Strong knowledge of concrete, road, and bridge construction methods and heavy civil construction. Experience on federal, state, tribal, or municipal construction projects preferred. Ability to read and interpret construction drawings, specifications, and project schedules. Excellent leadership, organizational, and communication skills. Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office and construction management software. Valid driver's license with a satisfactory driving record. Ability to travel for extended project assignments. Required Certifications Applicants must possess or be able to obtain: OSHA 30-Hour Construction Certification Current First Aid / CPR Certification USACE Contractor Quality Control (CQC) Certification Preferred Qualifications Experience with U.S. Army Corps of Engineers (USACE), Department of Veterans Affairs (VA), Indian Health Service (IHS), Bureau of Indian Affairs (BIA), or other federal construction projects.
