  • Full-time We are looking for a deadline-driven superintendent to oversee our construction projects and to act as the link between various project parties.
The superintendent will lead and manage the on-site construction team and oversee all work on-site at the direction of the project manager. The superintendent will be responsible for organization and cleanliness on-site and ensuring compliance with safety regulations. The superintendent should have excellent time management skills in order to manage construction sites and ensure that schedules are adhered to. To ensure success, a superintendent should complete projects on time, within budget, and never compromise on quality. The superintendent is responsible for delegating tasks to workers to ensure that deadlines are met. Ultimately, an outstanding superintendent should be able to build good working relationships with subcontractors and resolve conflicts in an efficient manner. Top candidates will be strong leaders, pro-active, and perform well under pressure.
Construction Superintendent Responsibilities:
Acting as the main point of communication between the field and the project manager. Being accountable for yourself and your team Being responsible for equipment and materials on site. Coordinating and overseeing all work on site. Ensuring quality standards are met. Ensuring that safety policies are strictly adhered to. Following the project timeline to ensure deadlines are met. Leading and managing the on-site construction team. Coordinating with project management to ensure that the project design is accurate before work commences. Maintaining records for site personnel such as daily field reports. Managing the work schedules and approving time for all field staff. Monitoring and ensuring on-site safety compliance, cleanliness, and orderliness. Problem solving in real time Reading and interpreting construction plans and specifications correctly Reviewing and becoming familiar with the schedule, and ensuring adherence to it. Reviewing each scope of work to be installed daily in order to be prepared to answer field staff and/or subcontractor questions and foresee any errors or omissions as soon as possible. Scheduling use of equipment needed for the project.
Construction Superintendent Requirements:
5+ years of experience as a construction superintendent is preferred. Ability to interpret and build according to drawings, specifications, and other documents. Ability to lift heavy objects throughout the day. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Excellent leadership skills. Experience with construction. Outstanding organizational skills. Prior experience in a supervisory role. Proficiency in MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel). Proficient with analyzing schedules Proficient with taking and uploading digital photographs. Proven experience in supervising field operations. The ability to work in different environmental conditions. The ability to plan ahead is crucial for success in this position.
Qualifications:
  • Must be able to travel to the jobsite(s) as assigned.
  • Current Driver's License Education and/or
Experience:
  • Minimum of five years of verifiable experience, thorough knowledge of trades and be computer literate.
  • Ability to read and interpret documents such as cut sheets and installation instructions.
  • Ability to write routine reports and correspondence.
  • Ability to speak effectively before groups of employees.
