Job Description

Blueprint Talent Advisors has been asked to recruit for this position on behalf of the company. Construction Project Manager Position Overview We are seeking a seasoned Construction Project Manager to oversee a diverse portfolio of construction projects from initiation through closeout. This role is responsible for partnering with 2-3 subcontractors, managing vendors, tracking materials and equipment, and ensuring all work meets regulatory, safety, budget, and schedule requirements. The ideal candidate is highly organized, detail‑driven, collaborative, and well‑versed in construction regulations, permitting, and modern project management practices. This employee will be reporting to a team located in Columbus, Ohio. Key Responsibilities Define project scope, objectives, and deliverables Prepare detailed construction estimates using material takeoffs (MTOs) Develop, manage, and track project budgets Create comprehensive construction project management plans Negotiate contracts with general contractors and subcontractors to secure profitable agreements Build and maintain project schedules with clear milestones and deadlines Monitor and maintain inventory of tools, equipment, and machinery Manage labor, materials, and equipment resources across all project phases Oversee logistics planning and resource allocation Produce regular status updates and reports for stakeholders Supervise and evaluate performance of general contractors, site managers, and field teams Uphold and enforce all health and safety standards on-site Problem solving and data/analytics will be an important facet of this position Skills & Qualifications Strong leadership and team‑management capabilities Effective problem‑solving and conflict‑resolution skills Excellent written and verbal communication Proficiency in project management disciplines: scheduling, budgeting, resource planning, and time management Education & Training Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Architecture, or a related field Strong understanding of construction management best practices Proficiency with construction‑related software, including project management platforms Up‑to‑date knowledge of construction codes, regulations, and permitting processes Experience Requirements Minimum of five years of project management experience within the construction industry Demonstrated experience managing construction budgets, schedules, and site operations Prior experience supervising construction crews and leading on‑site activities Proven track record in risk identification and mitigation on construction projects
Pay:
$175,000.00 - $225,000.00 per year
