Job Description

Job Summary:
The landscape construction assistant project manager is responsible for having a full understanding of the project including scope of work, budget, and project schedule to bring project to completion.
Duties/Responsibilities:
Create relationships with Landscape Architects and Clients to be point person throughout project. Source, tag (as needed), price, and procure plant and hardscape material for projects. Ensure materials ordered are to spec and within budget. Approve shop drawings prior to ordering. Ensure materials are ordered to meet schedule milestones. Identify and remedy potential schedule and budgetary issues. Communicate concerns to Operations Manager and Project Director. Review, code and approve vendor and subcontractor invoices weekly using company project management software. Send out RFI's as needed to architect as questions/discrepancies arise on the project. Identify and capture work not included in contract and notify client of potential change in scope. Work with estimator to provide estimates and change orders for extra work. Communicate cost increases to client and obtain CO approval before proceeding with extra work. Prepare and submit monthly AIA invoices based on work completed to Project Director.
Required Skills/Abilities:
Thorough understanding of plant species identification and knowledge of plant varieties Thorough understanding of masonry techniques and various hardscape materials, including stone, concrete, and manufactured materials. Have strong leadership skills. Able to communicate effectively with sub-contractors, clients, architects, and management. Ability to use Microsoft Office suite and knowledge of construction tracking software preferred. Organizational skills are necessary.
Education and Experience:
Bachelor's degree with 1 to 3 years landscape experience or High school diploma (or equivalent) and 4+ years of landscape project management experience Valid driver's license and a clean driving record OSHA certification
DOT Medical Certificate Pay:
$69,294.70 - $83,451.67 per year
