USPRO is seeking an experienced Superintendent to support one of the Northeast's premier construction management firms on a commercial construction project located in Bay Terrace, Queens, NY. The Superintendent will oversee all field operations, ensuring projects are completed safely, on schedule, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. This role requires a hands-on leader with strong field coordination experience, subcontractor management expertise, and the ability to drive project execution in fast-paced urban construction environments. Key Responsibilities Safety & Compliance Enforce all
OSHA, NYC
DOB, and site-specific safety regulations Lead daily site safety oversight and ensure compliance across all trades Coordinate JHAs, safety plans, inspections, and corrective actions Conduct daily site walks and maintain safety documentation Manage site security, logistics, and emergency preparedness plans Lead OSHA inspections and incident response activities as required Field Operations & Project Execution Oversee day-to-day construction activities and field personnel Coordinate subcontractors, vendors, inspectors, and deliveries Drive schedule adherence and proactively resolve field conflicts Develop and maintain look-ahead schedules and phasing plans Monitor productivity, manpower, and sequencing of work Ensure quality workmanship in accordance with contract documents QA/QC Management Lead project QA/QC processes and documentation Coordinate mockups, inspections, and preconstruction meetings Manage punch lists, deficiency tracking, and closeout activities Ensure ADA, FHA, and code compliance requirements are met Documentation & Communication Maintain accurate daily reports and project documentation Track permits, inspections, testing, and subcontractor compliance Coordinate with Project Managers, Owners, Architects, and Engineers Participate in OAC meetings and provide field progress updates Leadership Mentor field staff and promote a collaborative team environment Provide direction, coaching, and accountability to project teams Foster strong relationships with subcontractors and stakeholders Required Qualifications 5+ years of Superintendent experience on commercial construction projects Strong understanding of NYC construction operations and logistics Experience managing multiple subcontractors and complex schedules Proficiency with construction management software such as Procore and Viewpoint Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills Required Certifications & Licenses NYC DOB License 62-Hour SST Card OSHA 30 Certification First Aid / CPR Certification Preferred Experience Ground-up commercial, mixed-use, multifamily, or institutional construction experience Experience working in union environments Knowledge of NYC DOB regulations and inspection processes Military experience equivalency may substitute for some requirements.
