Project Manager / Assistant Project Manager - High-End Residential Construction Laplante Construction Inc. Lower Cape Cod, MA Full-Time $70,000-$100,000+ per year, depending on experience About Laplante Construction Laplante Construction Inc. is a well-established, family-owned luxury residential construction company with more than 45 years of experience building and renovating exceptional homes throughout Cape Cod, Western Massachusetts, and Northern Connecticut. Our Lower Cape operation specializes in high-end custom homes, renovations, and additions. We take pride in our craftsmanship, attention to detail, communication, and team approach. We are looking for a Project Manager / Assistant Project Manager to join our Lower Cape team. About the Position We are seeking a motivated, organized, and experienced construction professional to help manage our residential projects from preconstruction through completion. We are open to two types of candidates: Experienced Project Manager — Someone who can independently manage high-end residential projects and work directly with homeowners, architects, subcontractors, and our internal team. Assistant Project Manager — A strong residential construction professional who has the knowledge and experience to take the next step into project management. We are willing to provide training and mentorship for the right candidate. For us, construction knowledge, organization, communication skills, and character are more important than having the title of Project Manager on your resume. Responsibilities Depending on experience, responsibilities will include:
  • Manage or assist in managing high-end residential construction and renovation projects
  • Develop and maintain project schedules
  • Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers, deliveries, and multiple trades
  • Communicate regularly with homeowners regarding project progress, schedules, and decisions
  • Coordinate with architects, engineers, designers, and other project professionals
  • Review architectural plans and specifications
  • Assist with estimating, budgeting, purchasing, and change orders
  • Monitor project costs and assist in maintaining projects within budget
  • Conduct regular jobsite meetings and inspections
  • Monitor quality of workmanship and ensure projects meet Laplante Construction standards
  • Identify potential problems early and work with the team to develop solutions
  • Coordinate materials and selections
  • Maintain organized and safe jobsites
  • Review completed work and coordinate punch-list items through completion
  • Maintain accurate project documentation
  • Build strong relationships with clients, subcontractors, vendors, and project professionals
  • Represent Laplante Construction in a professional manner at all times QualificationsExperienced Project Manager
  • 5+ years of residential construction or project management experience preferred
  • Experience with high-end custom homes, additions, or renovations
  • Strong understanding of residential construction methods and sequencing
  • Ability to read and understand architectural plans and specifications
  • Experience coordinating subcontractors and multiple trades
  • Strong organizational and scheduling skills
  • Excellent communication and customer-service skills
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and keep projects moving forward Assistant Project Manager We are also interested in candidates with strong residential construction experience who are ready to move into project management. You may be a good fit if you have experience as a:
