Job Description

Working Superintendent -
Platinum Builders Location:
Various project sites in
MA, CT, RI & NH
Employment Type:
Full-Time Reports To:
General Superintendent About the Role Platinum Builders is seeking a Working Superintendent who combines strong, hands-on carpentry skills with proven site management ability. In this role, you will perform finish carpentry and punch list work on a variety of projects and, at times, manage your own small renovation projects from start to finish. In both cases, you'll ensure that all work meets Platinum's standards for safety, quality, and schedule. Many of our projects take place in occupied senior housing and memory care facilities, so professionalism, empathy, and respect for residents and staff are essential qualities — not just preferences. What You'll Do Perform finish carpentry work including door and hardware installation, millwork, trim, and punch list completion. Independently manage small renovation projects from mobilization through closeout. Perform QA/QC inspections throughout all phases of work — identifying deficiencies in your own work and that of subcontractors, and ensuring corrections meet Platinum's quality standards before moving forward. Supervise and coordinate field work for hired labor and subcontractors. Lead daily site activities with a focus on safety, quality, and schedule. Maintain clean, organized, and secure jobsites at all times. Conduct safety meetings and maintain thorough daily documentation in Procore, including logs, photos, and coordination notes. Communicate daily with Project Managers to coordinate materials, inspections, and logistics. Build strong, courteous relationships with building staff, residents, and owners. What You Bring 5+ years of construction experience, with demonstrated strength in finish carpentry — including door and hardware installation, millwork, and trim work. A sharp eye for quality — able to identify deficient work in the field and personally install work that meets a high standard of craftsmanship. Experience independently managing small renovation projects in the field. Experience working in occupied settings — senior housing, assisted living, or healthcare strongly preferred. Proficiency with Procore for daily logs, photos, punchlist and project documentation. Strong understanding of renovation sequencing and subcontractor coordination. Reliable, respectful, and professional demeanor — especially in sensitive, resident-occupied environments. Commitment to safety, teamwork, and quality workmanship.
Please note:
Finalists will be asked to complete a hands-on carpentry skills assessment as part of our hiring process. Why Join Platinum Builders Competitive pay: $80,000-$95,000, commensurate with experience. Growing company with a strong reputation for integrity and excellence. Collaborative team environment that values field expertise and initiative. Clear path to field leadership roles, supported by hands-on training and a company culture that invests in your success. Full benefits package. Ready to Build with Us? If you take pride in your craftsmanship, thrive in a collaborative environment, and want to grow with a company that values professionalism and people, we'd love to hear from you. Apply today to join Platinum Builders — and help us create safe, high-quality spaces for those who call them home.
