A Construction Project Manager supervises construction projects from beginning to end, ensuring that projects are completed within time and budgetary constraints. Controls the time, cost and quality of construction projects, from residential, commercial and industrial buildings to roads, bridges and schools. Plans and coordinate all aspects of the construction process, including hiring contractors and working with engineers, architects and vendors.
The Construction Project Manager is responsible for the daily management, supervision, coordination, and successful completion of residential construction projects to meet time and cost objectives with respect to safety, preconstruction, contracting, scheduling, estimating, bidding, subcontracting and contract administration functions.

Estimating jobs Provide support in the project pre-construction services and bidding process. Develop, review, implement project budgets, schedules and contract bid documents. Team with Project Foreman to lead group for duration of project. Prepare subcontracts. Properly administer construction contracts and change orders Oversee contract documents to make sure all specifications and regulations are followed. Enforce the company's safety program Review and approve subcontractor and vendor invoices on a weekly basis. Track and control construction schedules and associated costs to achieve completion of project within time and budget. Lead and participate in regularly scheduled project meetings. Communicate to owners and architects about construction progress. Manage project start-up and closeout process. Develop and maintain business relationships with Owners, consultants and subcontractors. Need to be knowledgeable in Massachusetts building code Perform other duties as assigned.
REQUIRED SKILLS
Knowledgeable in Massachusetts building code Possess analytical skills and research skills to define and solve problems. Ability in assessing and prioritizing multiple tasks, projects and demands. Excellent organizational, interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills.
REQUIRED EXPERIENCE
4-year Degree, Construction Management Degree or equivalent work experience. At least 5 years of previous construction experience. Ability to read and work off of building plans Knowledge of principles and practices of residential construction, engineering and construction project management, including safety standards. OSHA 10-hour certification, CSL, valid Driver's license, Home Improvement preferred Project management and scheduling experience including use of software (i.e. MS Project or other). MS Office - Microsoft Word & Excel experience.
