Job Description:
Trillium Construction is seeking an experienced Rail Superintendent to oversee heavy civil rail and track construction projects throughout Boston, MA and the New England region. This role is responsible for managing field operations, leading crews, maintaining project schedules, ensuring quality workmanship, and enforcing all safety requirements. Salary is between $130k - $170k, plus $125/day per diem for all 7 days! Key Responsibilities Lead daily rail construction operations, including track installation, switch/turnout construction, and infrastructure improvements Coordinate labor, equipment, subcontractors, and materials to maintain project schedules Enforce safety standards, conduct daily huddles, toolbox talks, and Job Hazard Analyses (JHAs) Monitor productivity, quality control, and project costs Maintain daily reports, timesheets, and three-week look-ahead schedules Work closely with project managers, clients, and stakeholders to ensure successful project delivery Qualifications 5+ years of rail, track, or heavy civil construction supervision experience required; previous Amtrak experience preferred Strong knowledge of track installation, switches, turnouts, and rail infrastructure OSHA 10 required; OSHA 30 preferred Experience managing crews, subcontractors, track outages, and rail operations Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills Must be able and willing to travel Must be able to pass all pre-employment screenings
