Farming Full Job Description Job Overview:
We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Residential Construction Site Forman to oversee day-to-day operations on active home-building projects. The ideal candidate will bring strong leadership skills, practical construction knowledge, and a hands-on approach to managing crews, timelines, skilled labor, and quality standards. A background in farming or finish carpentry is required, as it demonstrates the work ethic, precision, and problem-solving skills essential for this role.
Key Responsibilities:
Supervise and coordinate all on-site construction activities Manage subcontractors, trades, and labor crews to ensure efficient workflow Ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and to quality standards Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications Enforce safety regulations and maintain a safe work environment Skilled Labor work as required Monitor material usage and coordinate deliveries Conduct regular site inspections and address any issues promptly Communicate progress updates to project managers and stakeholders
Requirements:
Minimum 5 years of experience in farming or finish carpentry Previous experience in residential construction supervision preferred Strong knowledge of construction processes, tools, and materials Ability to read and interpret construction documents Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience managing multiple residential projects simultaneously Familiarity with local building codes and regulations First Aid/CPR certification (an asset) Carries Tool Sets for
