Site Supervisor Wakefield, MA Apply The Site Supervisor is responsible for overseeing on-site project execution to ensure work is completed safely, on schedule, within budget, and in accordance with quality standards. This role serves as the primary link between field operations, project management, subcontractors, and clients. Key responsibilities include reviewing project plans, specifications, and contracts; developing site-specific execution plans; coordinating labor, equipment, materials, and inspections; and translating project scope into actionable field activities. The Site Supervisor directs daily field operations, leads construction crews and subcontractors, conducts site meetings and safety briefings, and ensures compliance with project specifications, company policies, OSHA standards, and applicable regulations. The successful candidate will monitor project schedules, track progress against critical milestones, identify and resolve field issues, and proactively communicate potential delays or risks. Responsibilities also include overseeing quality control, conducting site inspections, documenting deficiencies, managing punch lists, verifying work meets applicable codes and specifications, and ensuring corrective actions are completed. The Site Supervisor supports project budgeting efforts by monitoring labor, materials, equipment usage, subcontractor performance, and field-initiated change orders. They help prevent scope creep, identify cost-saving opportunities, and provide accurate reporting on project status, productivity, safety metrics, and budget performance. Additional responsibilities include maintaining site documentation and logs, coordinating with engineers, suppliers, and local authorities, managing site logistics and mobilization activities, mitigating risks related to weather, safety, subcontractor performance, and site conditions, and ensuring proper handling of waste materials. The Site Supervisor also manages project closeout activities, including final inspections, punch list completion, site cleanup, turnover documentation, and lessons-learned reviews. The ideal candidate has strong leadership, communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills, along with experience supervising construction or field operations, interpreting plans and specifications, coordinating multiple stakeholders, and successfully delivering projects from start to finish.
