Clerk of the Works -
Construction Experience Required Location:
Boston, MA area We are working with a client who is looking for an experienced construction professional to join their team as a Clerk of the Works. This is an excellent opportunity for a seasoned Superintendent or Construction Professional who has extensive field experience and is looking to transition into a role focused on project oversight, quality control, and documentation. The ideal candidate will have a strong background delivering large-scale commercial construction projects and the ability to identify issues in the field, understand construction documents, and ensure work is progressing in accordance with plans and specifications.
Responsibilities:
Perform regular site visits and monitor construction progress. Prepare detailed daily reports documenting site activity, manpower, progress, and observations. Review work in the field against drawings, specifications, and contract documents. Identify potential issues and communicate findings to project stakeholders. Maintain accurate records throughout the construction process. Work closely with contractors, owners, and project teams.
Qualifications:
Extensive experience as a Construction Superintendent, General Superintendent, or Senior Construction Professional. Strong knowledge of commercial construction processes, drawings, and specifications. Experience overseeing large-scale construction projects. Excellent attention to detail and strong communication skills. Ability to work independently and provide informed observations based on field experience.
