Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Assistant Construction Superintendent to join our construction team. In this pivotal role, you will support the Development Team in overseeing daily operations on-site, ensuring projects are completed safely, on time, and within budget. Your expertise in construction management, scheduling, and quality control will drive project success from inception to completion. This position offers an exciting opportunity to collaborate with skilled professionals and contribute to large-scale construction projects that shape communities and infrastructure. Because we maintain a highly active, hands-on presence on site, this role also requires basic carpentry skills to handle minor field adjustments, safety installations, and punch-list items as needed. Duties Assist the Construction Superintendent in coordinating all phases of construction activities on-site, including scheduling, resource allocation, and supervision of subcontractors and labor teams Monitor construction progress using project management software such as Buildertrend to ensure adherence to timelines and budgets Conduct regular site inspections to enforce safety protocols in compliance with OSHA standards and maintain a safe working environment Oversee quality control measures by inspecting work for compliance with specifications, contracts, and industry standards Collaborate with management to review project schedules, update progress reports, and address potential delays or issues proactively Utilize basic carpentry skills to perform hands-on tasks including blocking, backing, building temporary safety railings/barriers, door/hardware adjustments, and tackling punch-list items to keep the job moving forward. Skills 2 to 5 years of experience in construction field supervision (as an assistant Foreman, Field Engineer, or Assistant Superintendent), including a background in hands-on carpentry or framing. Proficiency in construction management software Ability to read blueprints, schematics, and technical drawings accurately Strong communication skills for coordinating between clients, subcontractors, suppliers, and internal teams
