We perform work in both the public and the private sectors. Our projects range from $250,000 to $15,000,000. The Company's diverse projects include restaurants, retail, banks, tenant improvements and fit-outs, academic, places of worship, industrial, assisted living, multi-unit residential and single family homes. The Project Manager at Seaver Construction performs the following duties: Manages all day to day aspects of projects Meets project control financial standards by developing and meeting the budget:controlling project expense by categorizing and analyzing expenditures; comparing expenses to project budget; reviewing purchases; evaluating cost trends; recommending adjustments and corrections. Locates, selects and qualifies sub-contractors by developing and evaluating bids and performing buy outs. Manages sub-contractors;obtaining and maintaining sub-contractor documentation; coordinates between trades and ensures adherence to drawings, specifications, and schedules. Is familiar with the project by analyzing and studying the construction documents and is able to guide the project operations in the right direction in completion of the Work Is able to recognize variances; implement corrective actions; identify out of scope work or changed conditions in a timely manner; negotiate and implement Change Orders Meets construction schedule by development and implementation of the Project Schedule and leads the Project Team in keeping the project on track with the Schedule Interacts with the client, the design team, the involved agencies and the subcontractors and coordinates the work between the above Ensures organized and smooth turn over, to the client, at project completion Enhances organization reputation by exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments Is familiar with the Company's Health and Safety Plan. Seeks to promote proper practices to protect the health and safety of the Project Personnel and the Public. Leads by example in proper use of Personal Protective Equipment. Promotes a culture of safety on the jobsite. Assists the estimating team as the need arises to help secure future projects.
Minimum Requirements:
At least 10 years of experience in Project Management of commercial building construction with attention to detail and focus on quality A degree in building construction, construction management or related field OSHA 30 hour trained Proficiency in Procore, Microsoft Project and Microsoft Office Suite Please Note - Due to the highly collaborative nature of this industry, Seaver Construction requires in-office attendance for this position.
