Job Description
Superintendent - Industrial / Light Industrial Construction A long-standing and financially secure general contractor is seeking an experienced Superintendent to lead field operations on industrial and light industrial construction projects. This role carries full responsibility for on-site execution, including safety, schedule, quality, and coordination of all trades. This position requires travel to active project sites and is best suited for a Superintendent who prefers to be in the field, setting the pace of work, solving problems as they arise, and delivering complex projects in demanding environments. Key Responsibilities Lead all field operations from mobilization through project completion Develop and manage site logistics, sequencing plans, and short-interval schedules Coordinate subcontractors, inspections, and daily site activities Enforce safety standards and maintain a strong safety culture on site Drive productivity and address field issues to keep projects on schedule Work closely with Project Managers to align field execution with project objectives Review plans and specifications to identify and resolve conflicts early Maintain accurate daily reporting, progress tracking, and look-ahead planning Represent the company on site with owners, inspectors, and design partners Qualifications 7+ years of experience as a Superintendent on industrial or light industrial projects Experience with food and beverage production, warehouses, manufacturing facilities, distribution centers, or similar project @type Strong understanding of construction sequencing, means and methods, and site logistics Proven ability to lead crews and manage subcontractors in active construction environments Willingness and ability to travel to project sites as required Education High school diploma or equivalent required Construction-related education or training preferred Compensation & Benefits Highly competitive compensation based on experience Bonus opportunity Comprehensive benefits package Per diem, travel accommodations, and vehicle allowance as applicable Long-term opportunity with a nationally recognized contractor This role is intended for a Superintendent who wants clear authority in the field, ownership of the work, and the opportunity to deliver high-impact industrial projects.
