Bridge Superintendent
Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced Bridge Superintendent to oversee complex bridge construction and bridge rehabilitation projects. The ideal candidate will have 5+ years of experience managing bridge construction operations, including structural repairs, concrete work, piling operations, and marine-related construction activities. This position requires strong leadership, scheduling, and field coordination skills to successfully deliver projects safely, on time, and within budget.
Responsibilities
Oversee daily field operations for bridge construction and repair projects
Supervise crews, subcontractors, equipment, and project site activities
Coordinate bridge construction activities including concrete, structural steel, formwork, demolition, and piling operations
Manage marine-related construction activities when applicable
Ensure projects are completed safely, efficiently, and according to plans and specifications
Coordinate with project managers, engineers, inspectors, and government agencies
Monitor project schedules, productivity, quality control, and safety compliance
Conduct site meetings, safety briefings, and progress updates
Schedule labor, equipment, and materials to support project timelines
Identify and resolve field issues while maintaining project progress
Qualifications
Minimum 5+ years of experience overseeing bridge construction and bridge repair projects
Experience with complex bridge structures, rehabilitation, and heavy civil construction required
Marine construction and piling experience strongly preferred
Strong understanding of bridge construction methods, safety standards, and project sequencing
Ability to read and interpret construction drawings and specifications
Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills
Experience managing multiple crews and subcontractors in active construction environments
OSHA certifications or additional safety training preferred
Valid driver's license and willingness to travel to project sites as needed
