Job Description
The Construction Layout is responsible for the proper interpretation of drawings in the field and guidance in the installation of restoration structures. The ability to use a laser level, GPS/ LPS technology is essential, as the Construction Layout will be responsible for establishing the proper elevations throughout the jobsite. Duties include but are not limited to oversight of work quality, interpretation of drawings, operation of heavy equipment and labor when necessary, as well as assisting the Site Foreman with morning safety briefings, daily schedule, forecasting of materials and tracking of deliveries. The Construction Layout is the second point of contact on-site and must represent the company in a professional manner while dealing with all inspectors, contract managers and visitors. Project sites will be located all over Maryland with a focus on PG County. This position requires a minimum of 2 years of experience in ecological construction, including stormwater management, stream restoration, wetland enhancement, shoreline stabilization or similar construction activities in a comparable role. Education and experience in habitat management, ecology or similar field a plus. Valid Driver's License required, Commercial Driver's License a plus. PG County resident a plus.
