Job Title:
Site Supervisor Job Description The Site Supervisor oversees day-to-day field operations at customer installation sites, ensuring schedules stay on track and contractual obligations are met. This role coordinates closely with project management, supervises subcontractors, and maintains accurate documentation while supporting the installation of mechanical and electrical systems, including conveyors and electrical panels. Responsibilities Run daily operations at the customer installation site and ensure all work progresses according to plan. Coordinate with the project manager on job budgets, schedules, progress reports, and cost reports to keep the project on track and within scope. Maintain detailed and accurate documentation that reflects project progress and any changes in scope, schedule, or cost. Install electrical panels and integrate them with mechanical systems, including conveyor installations, in an industrial environment. Coordinate and supervise the activities of subcontractors so they can perform their work effectively and safely, while aligning their tasks with the overall project schedule. Integrate subcontractor work into project timelines and monitor progress to ensure milestones and deadlines are met. Regularly communicate with the customer, including preparing progress reports and issuing updates to progress schedules. Keep all key stakeholders informed on job progress, upcoming plans, and any problems that could significantly affect costs or schedules. Enforce project specifications and drive installation schedules to meet agreed timelines and quality standards. Interpret and work from technical drawings and schedules to guide installation activities in the field. Essential Skills Proven field experience in site management within an industrial construction environment. Hands-on experience with mechanical and electrical installation, including conveyor installation. Ability to install electrical panels and integrate them with mechanical systems. Experience in field service and electrical installation work. Strong site management skills, including coordinating multiple tasks and stakeholders on active job sites. Ability to read and understand technical drawings and project schedules. Proficiency with Microsoft Project for planning, tracking, and reporting project schedules. Experience enforcing project specifications and driving installation schedules to completion. Experience in construction within an industrial setting. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience working with conveyor systems in industrial or logistics environments. Familiarity with coordinating subcontractors on large-scale installation projects. Strong communication skills for interacting with customers and internal stakeholders. Ability to prepare clear progress reports and schedule updates for customers and project teams. Comfort working in dynamic, fast-paced industrial environments where schedules and priorities may shift. Work Environment This role is based on a large industrial site for a major e-commerce operation, overseeing conveyor and related mechanical and electrical installations. The typical schedule is Monday through Friday, averaging 40-50 hours per week, with time spent primarily on the customer's site in active construction and installation areas. The environment involves working around mechanical equipment, conveyor systems, and electrical installations, requiring adherence to site safety procedures and appropriate work attire suitable for an industrial setting. Job Type & Location This is a Contract position based out of Edgemere, MD. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $40.00 - $50.00/hr.
