Job Description
Position Title:
- Superintendent - Federal Construction (Fort Meade)
Location:
- Fort Meade, MD

Position Summary:
- We are seeking an experienced Superintendent to oversee on-site construction operations for federal projects at Fort Meade. This role is responsible for managing daily field activities, ensuring quality control, maintaining project schedules, and enforcing strict safety standards in compliance with USACE and federal regulations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee all on-site construction activities from mobilization through closeout
- Coordinate subcontractors, vendors, and field personnel to ensure timely project execution
- Maintain and drive project schedule, identifying and resolving delays proactively
- Ensure compliance with USACE specifications, EM 385-1-1 safety standards, and contract requirements
- Conduct daily site walks to monitor progress, quality, and safety
- Lead safety meetings, enforce site safety protocols, and maintain documentation
- Collaborate with Project Manager on RFIs, submittals, change orders, and project reporting
- Maintain accurate daily reports, including manpower, progress, and site conditions
- Interface with government representatives, inspectors, and stakeholders
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of Superintendent experience on federal or USACE projects
- Strong knowledge of federal construction standards and specifications
- Experience working on active military installations highly preferred
- OSHA 30 required; EM 385 certification strongly preferred
- Proven ability to manage multiple subcontractors and fast-paced schedules
- Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills
Preferred Experience:
- USACE project experience (highly preferred)
- Experience with secure facilities or mission-critical environments
- Background in commercial, institutional, or heavy civil construction
