Premier Choice Exteriors is seeking an experienced Construction Project Manager that is experienced with exterior applications (metal roofing, EPDM, TPO, Shingles, Wall panels Systems) to oversee commercial and federal construction projects from award through completion. This position is ideal for someone with strong construction experience who understands roofing and exterior building systems, is comfortable reviewing plans and specifications, and can coordinate multiple moving pieces throughout the life of a project. The Project Manager will work primarily from our office while also visiting jobsites as needed. This is not a full-time field management position, as dedicated Field Managers oversee day-to-day field operations. Instead, this role serves as the primary point of coordination between our office, field team, subcontractors, suppliers, general contractors, and project stakeholders. The right candidate will be organized, resourceful, detail-oriented, and comfortable managing several projects simultaneously. Key Responsibilities Manage assigned construction projects from award through completion and closeout. Review project drawings, specifications, scopes of work, contracts, and other project documents. Understand project requirements and identify materials, systems, submittals, scheduling needs, and potential project concerns. Coordinate with suppliers and manufacturers to obtain material pricing, quotes, lead times, technical information, and competitive purchasing options. Negotiate and obtain competitive pricing for materials and project-related purchases. Prepare and place material orders while monitoring deliveries and lead times. Thorough understanding of preparing, compiling, and coordinating project submittals, including product data, shop drawings, samples, warranties, and other required documentation. Coordinate with general contractors, subcontractors, field managers, suppliers, manufacturers, and internal staff throughout the project. Assist with project scheduling and ensure materials, subcontractors, and field requirements are coordinated with the overall construction schedule. Manage subcontractor relationships, including scope coordination, scheduling, pricing, and performance. Communicate with general contractors regarding project requirements, schedules, RFIs, submittals, changes, and other project-related matters. Review plans and specifications to identify discrepancies, missing information, and potential scope or cost impacts. Assist with estimating, pricing, and change order preparation when required. Coordinate project startup activities and ensure the field team has the necessary drawings, materials, information, and documentation before work begins. Visit jobsites as needed to review project conditions, attend meetings, coordinate work, and assist with resolving project issues. Monitor project progress and proactively address issues that may affect cost, schedule, materials, or production. Maintain organized project records and documentation throughout the life of the project. Work closely with office administration, accounting, field management, and company leadership to ensure projects remain organized and on track. Assist with project closeout, including warranties, punch list documentation, final submittals, and other required closeout materials. Qualifications Required Strong construction industry experience. Experience managing or coordinating construction projects. Ability to read and understand construction drawings, specifications, and project documents. Strong organizational and time-management skills. Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously. Strong written and verbal communication skills. Ability to communicate effectively with general contractors, subcontractors, suppliers, manufacturers, field personnel, and internal staff. Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently. Detail-oriented and capable of following projects from initial planning through completion. Comfortable negotiating pricing and working with suppliers and subcontractors. Valid driver's license and ability to travel to jobsites as required. Willingness and ability to learn new software, systems, and company procedures. Preferred Experience with commercial roofing systems. Experience with architectural metal wall panels and exterior building envelope systems. Experience working on federal government construction projects. Experience working with commercial general contractors. Familiarity with federal construction requirements, specifications, submittals, and project documentation. Experience with software such as Procore, Bluebeam, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Outlook, Microsoft Teams, and similar construction management programs. Experience preparing submittals, RFIs, change orders, material orders, and project schedules. Degree in construction management We value strong hands-on construction knowledge and project management experience and are willing to train the right candidate on company-specific systems and software. Ideal Candidate The ideal candidate is someone who: Takes ownership of projects and follows tasks through to completion. Is highly organized and detail-oriented. Can work independently without requiring constant supervision. Communicates well with both office personnel and field teams. Builds strong relationships with subcontractors, vendors, suppliers, and general contractors. Is comfortable making decisions and solving problems. Can prioritize competing deadlines across multiple projects. Understands that successful project management requires both technical construction knowledge and strong communication. Is proactive rather than reactive. Is willing to learn and adapt as the company continues to grow. Work Environment This position is primarily office-based at our office, with periodic travel to active construction sites, supplier locations, project meetings, and other locations as required.
