HVAC Service Supervisor
Job OverviewGrowing, full-service MEP services provider is seeking a driven, experienced commercial HVAC Service Supervisor to lead job logistics and field service coordination. This role requires someone with deep HVAC knowledge, exceptional leadership skills, and operational discipline. You will be responsible for scheduling technicians, managing technicians, ensuring on-time job completion, and optimizing logistics performance in a fast-paced, high-volume environment. This is an office-based position, however assisting technicians in the field as needed is required.
Key Responsibilities:
?? Field Service Management
- Oversee daily scheduling and dispatching of HVAC technicians.
- Monitor field team performance, approve timecards, and resolve on-site issues.
- Ensure all service work meets company and customer standards.
- Lead weekly field meetings and support technician onboarding and training.
- Track and report on KPIs (on-time job completion, first-time fix rate, technician compliance with SOPs, etc.).?? Logistics & Warehouse Oversight
- Manage the outbound flow of HVAC equipment and materials from vendors
- Supervise staff and ensure order fulfillment meets shipping deadlines.
- Maintain relationships with vendors and carriers.
- Coordinate with sales and procurement to align inventory and order priorities.
- Order Material & Supplies.
- Lean operations or warehouse automation insight?? Cross-Functional Coordination
- Act as a central liaison between field, vendors, sales, procurement, and customer service teams.
- Communicate delivery timelines to customers and vendors.
- Ensure operational systems are updated with accurate time, inventory, and job notes.
- Identify inefficiencies and implement effective strategies to reduce costs and delays.
Required Qualifications:
- Proven experience in commercial HVAC service
- Strong scheduling, dispatch, and technician oversight experience
- Excellent organizational and communication skills
- Ability to lead, train, and hold team members accountable
- Familiarity with HVAC software tools and logistics platforms
- Maryland Journeyman License
- Ability to commute daily to Baltimore County office and job sites as needed. All clients are in the greater Baltimore area.
