Traveling Superintendent - Commercial Construction

Responsibilities Lead and manage multiple commercial construction projects across various locations, ensuring adherence to project schedules, budgets, and quality standards. Coordinate with project teams, subcontractors, suppliers, and clients to facilitate smooth operations and resolve issues promptly. Oversee daily construction site activities, supervising field personnel and subcontractors to ensure safety protocols are followed rigorously. Develop detailed project schedules; monitor progress and adjust plans as needed. Review blueprints, schematics, and contracts to ensure accurate interpretation and implementation of project requirements. Conduct regular site inspections to enforce quality control measures, safety compliance (OSHA standards), and adherence to design specifications. Manage project documentation including daily reports, safety logs, change orders, and budget tracking using tools. Ensure all work complies with OSHA regulations and industry best practices; promote a culture of safety awareness among team members. Facilitate effective communication among all stakeholders to maintain transparency and keep projects on track from start to finish. Skills Extensive experience in heavy civil or commercial construction management with proven supervising expertise on large-scale projects. Strong understanding of contracts, project scheduling, budgeting, blueprint reading, schematics interpretation, and construction estimating. Familiarity with OSHA standards and safety protocols; ability to enforce safety policies consistently across sites. Skilled in managing multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail and quality control. Excellent leadership abilities with a track record of supervising diverse teams effectively; adept at conflict resolution and motivating staff. Ability to read technical drawings accurately; experience in managing construction site logistics including material procurement and scheduling. Strong communication skills for clear coordination with clients, subcontractors, vendors, and internal teams.
