Job Description
PFP is a small, intentional coaching operation in Rockville built around one thing: getting real results for real people. Our adult clients aren't looking for a gym — they want a coach who knows what they're doing and is genuinely invested in their progress. If that's how you operate, we want to talk. What you'll do Coach adult clients through small group and semi-private training sessions focused on strength, body composition, and long-term health Assess movement quality, training history, and goals to build individualized programs within the PFP system Track client progress and adjust programming based on results — not routine Communicate clearly with clients about their training, their progress, and what's next Maintain accurate session notes and client records in our training management system Keep the training floor organized, safe, and ready before and after every session Show up consistently and hold a high standard — for yourself and your clients What we're looking for Required Nationally accredited certification — NSCA-CSCS, NASM-CPT, ACSM, or ACE Current CPR/AED certification Reliable, coachable, and professional Genuine interest in helping adults build strength, improve body composition, and move better long-term Preferred Background in exercise science, kinesiology, or a related field Some exposure to body composition-focused programming — fat loss, muscle gain, or both Familiarity with periodization and progressive overload basics Any hands-on coaching experience — personal training, group fitness, internships, or volunteer work all count Why PFP You'll coach in an environment that holds a high standard — your skills will be challenged and sharpened, not put on autopilot Small team means real mentorship, real feedback, and real growth as a trainer Evidence-based approach — every program decision has a reason behind it, and you'll learn to think that way too Newly expanded adult training space — purpose-built for the clientele you'll be serving Compensation and benefits $22-$30/hour based on experience and certifications Complimentary PFP membership Flexible part-time scheduling Ongoing professional development within a high-standard coaching environment
