Job Description

A well-established civil engineering consultancy is seeking a Land Development Project Manager to support continued growth across Maryland and Washington DC. This is a leadership-focused position offering the opportunity to work closely with senior leadership while managing projects and mentoring junior staff. The role provides strong exposure to both project delivery and team oversight, with involvement across long-term, complex land development projects. The role As a Project Manager, you will support the Division Head in overseeing project delivery while taking ownership of your own portfolio of land development projects. You will play a key role in mentoring junior engineers, maintaining client relationships, and contributing to the overall performance of the team. Key responsibilities
  • Support the Division Head with project delivery and team oversight
  • Manage land development projects from concept through completion
  • Mentor and develop junior engineering staff
  • Maintain strong client relationships and act as a key point of contact
  • Coordinate with clients, stakeholders, and project teams
  • Contribute to long-term project delivery, often spanning multiple years
  • Support leadership initiatives and assist with team management responsibilities Requirements
  • 5 to 12 years of experience in land development engineering
  • Strong experience working on projects in Montgomery County and Prince George's County
  • Background in both planning, development, and engineering
  • Well-rounded technical experience across civil and site development projects
  • Ability to support leadership and contribute to team management
  • Comfortable working in a client-facing role
