Position Summary:
We are seeking an experienced and highly organized Onsite Assistant Construction Superintendent to oversee the daily operations of a 200-unit multi-family construction project. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing all on-site activities, maintaining project schedules, enforcing safety protocols, coordinating subcontractors, and ensuring quality control standards are met. This role is critical to the successful, timely, and cost-effective delivery of the project.
Key Responsibilities:
Onsite Management:
Supervise all phases of vertical construction from groundbreaking to completion.
Scheduling & Coordination:
Maintain and update the construction schedule; coordinate daily with subcontractors, suppliers, inspectors, and consultants to ensure alignment with project timelines.
Quality Control:
Enforce quality assurance/quality control (QA/QC) standards; perform routine inspections to ensure workmanship meets company and code standards.
Safety Oversight:
Promote and enforce strict compliance with OSHA and company safety standards; conduct regular safety meetings and inspections.
Communication:
Serve as the main point of contact between the field and the project management team; provide daily reports and updates on progress, challenges, and site conditions. This will include daily phone calls with the Project Management Team as well as Weekly Zoom/Teams Meetings.
Problem Solving:
Proactively identify potential delays or issues and work with the team to resolve them quickly and effectively.
Documentation:
Maintain thorough and accurate records including photos, daily logs, delivery receipts, inspection records, subcontractor timesheets, and RFIs.
Resource Management:
Oversee the efficient use of materials, labor, and equipment; reduce waste and control costs without compromising quality.
Code Compliance:
Ensure all work meets local, state, and federal codes and regulations, including building permits and inspections.
Qualifications:
Minimum 2 + years of onsite construction supervision experience. Preferred multi-family projects and/or single-family residential developments. Proven track record managing vertical construction and MEP coordination on multi-family or similar scale projects. In-depth knowledge of construction methods, materials, and regulations. Strong understanding of project scheduling software (e.g., MS Project, Procore). Excellent leadership, communication, and conflict-resolution skills. Ability to read and interpret blueprints, specifications, schedules and construction documents. OSHA 30 Certification required; CPR/First Aid preferred. Valid Driver's License and reliable transportation.

Full-time, on-site presence required Monday-Friday. Must be able to stand, walk, and work in outdoor weather conditions for extended periods. Occasional lifting (up to 50 lbs) and climbing ladders.
