About Our Client Our client is a well-established, multi-generational general contractor with a strong reputation for quality construction and long-term client relationships. With a stable workforce, consistent project backlog, and collaborative culture, they provide employees with the structure and resources needed for long-term success. Job Description Lead on-site construction operations from mobilization through project completion. Manage subcontractors, vendors, and field personnel to ensure work is completed safely and efficiently. Drive project schedules while maintaining quality standards and budget objectives. Coordinate daily site activities, logistics, and communication between project stakeholders. Conduct site meetings and proactively resolve field challenges. Ensure compliance with project specifications, safety regulations, and company standards. Collaborate closely with Project Managers, Assistant Project Managers, Estimators, and ownership. Oversee a variety of public, commercial, institutional, and renovation projects. Work primarily within one hour of the Freeport, Maine office, with projects located throughout the Greater Portland region. Maintain a regular Monday through Friday schedule, typically 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM.
Must-Have Qualifications Experience serving as a Superintendent on commercial, institutional, public, or general construction projects. Proven ability to manage subcontractors, schedules, site logistics, and project execution. Strong understanding of construction means and methods, safety practices, and quality control. Ability to lead field operations and communicate effectively with project teams and stakeholders. Valid driver's license and ability to travel to local project sites. Preferred Qualifications Experience overseeing public-sector or government-funded construction projects. Background managing ground-up and renovation projects. Familiarity with projects ranging from several million dollars to large-scale institutional developments.
