Job Description

Project Manager Coastal Maine General Contracting - Ellsworth and Mount Desert Island, Maine Full-Time | $80,000-$120,000/year (based on experience) About Us & The Role At Coastal Maine GC, we're a design-build construction company; focused on quality work, clear communication, and a strong team culture. We are looking for an experienced Project Manager to lead residential and commercial projects from start to finish. This role is responsible for scheduling, budgeting, subcontractor coordination, client communication, and keeping projects moving smoothly from planning through closeout. The right person is organized, proactive, and comfortable leading teams, solving problems, and communicating clearly with both clients and field crews.

Communication in everything we do Accountability and ownership Strong effort and attitude Practical problem-solving and creativity Continuous personal growth Respect for people and the work Supporting your team and community What You'll Be Doing Manage residential and commercial construction projects with full accountability for Risk, Scope, Schedule, and Budget (RSSB) Review plans, specifications, and addendums to ensure alignment between design team, client, and field execution Build and maintain the full project schedule in coordination with Preconstruction, and deliver it to the Site Supervisor for execution Define key milestones, critical path items, and targets to keep projects moving on track Proactively identify and resolve risks early (scope gaps, budget concerns, sequencing issues) before they impact the field Coordinate subcontractors, materials, and sequencing to support the project schedule Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, design teams, subcontractors, and internal field teams Lead all client communication to maintain clear expectations, scope alignment, and project updates Track budgets, change orders, and job costs with weekly review and accountability Partner with accounting weekly to review job costing (LMSE) and assign proper cost codes, including rework and warranty items Conduct at least two weekly site visits per project and lead check-ins with Site Supervisors and crews Set weekly field goals and maintain daily communication with site leadership to ensure execution matches plan Maintain punch lists and oversee closeout to ensure quality standards are met Keep all project documentation organized and current through structured systems and communication What We Offer $80,000 - $120,000 salary (based on experience) Year-round, steady work Paid Time Off + Paid Holidays Health, dental, and vision insurance contribution Company vehicle Simple IRA with company match Discretionary Performance based end-of-year bonus Growth opportunities within the company Supportive team environment with strong communication and leadership What We're Looking For 3-5+ years of construction project management experience (residential and/or commercial) Strong communication and organizational skills Experience managing schedules, budgets, and subcontractors Comfortable with ACC, Microsoft Office, or similar tools Able to lead with clarity, consistency, and accountability Ready to help us build something better? to join a team where leadership, integrity, and results go hand in hand.
