Job Description
Full Job Description Centerline Design & Build is seeking a highly organized and motivated Assistant Project Manager to support the planning, coordination, and successful execution of residential construction projects. This position will work closely with the Project Manager, Site Supervisor, subcontractors, vendors, architects, and homeowners to ensure projects are completed safely, on schedule, within budget, and to the highest standards of quality. Duties Assist the Project Manager with the day-to-day management of residential construction projects from pre-construction through completion. Coordinate with subcontractors, vendors, suppliers, homeowners, architects, engineers, and internal team members. Assist with project scheduling, including tracking milestones, deliveries, inspections, and subcontractor activities. Monitor project progress and communicate schedule updates, delays, and potential issues to the Project Manager. Review plans, specifications, scopes of work, and project documentation for accuracy and completeness. Assist with obtaining bids, reviewing subcontractor proposals, and coordinating purchase orders and materials. Track material selections, orders, deliveries, and lead times. Assist with change orders, purchase orders, invoices, and project cost tracking. Maintain accurate project files, schedules, contracts, meeting notes, and other documentation. Help coordinate building inspections, permits, and required documentation. Participate in project meetings and document action items and follow-ups. Visit job sites as needed to monitor progress, quality, safety, and coordination between trades. Assist with homeowner/client communication and help ensure questions and concerns are addressed promptly. Support the closeout process, including punch lists, warranty documentation, final inspections, and turnover. Maintain a strong working knowledge of company standards, construction practices, safety requirements, and applicable building codes. Participate in preconstruction meetings with designers, site supervisors, project managers, and principals. Routine performance and quality control inspections on each job site. Receiving and delivering material to each job site. Qualifications 3-5 years of experience in residential construction, project coordination, construction management, or a related field preferred. Experience with residential remodeling, custom homes, or new construction is a plus. Strong organizational and time-management skills. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to read and understand construction drawings, plans, and specifications. Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects or priorities. Proficiency with Google Workspace, or similar software. Experience with construction management or project scheduling software is preferred. Ability to work effectively with subcontractors, vendors, clients, and internal team members. Valid driver's license and reliable transportation. Ability to travel to residential job sites as required.
