This is an owner-facing role with full accountability for schedule, budget, subcontractor performance, and client experience across multiple active custom home projects. The company builds at the high end of the residential market and expects the same level of professionalism and attention to detail in project delivery that it brings to its finished product.

Compensation:
$105,000 to $115,000 per year, commensurate with experience What You'll Do You will manage custom residential construction projects from kickoff through final completion, building and maintaining project schedules, milestone plans, and short-term look-ahead timelines for multiple active projects simultaneously. Day-to-day responsibilities include coordinating subcontractors, vendors, suppliers, and inspectors, tracking material procurement and long-lead items, sequencing deliveries and installations, and ensuring each job site is running efficiently, safely, and to company quality standards. Budget oversight is a core part of the role. You will monitor job costs, change orders, allowances, and overall financial performance, and maintain accurate documentation including meeting notes, selections logs, approvals, and change-order records throughout the life of each project. You will serve as the primary point of contact for homeowners, architects, interior designers, and trade partners, leading communication with clarity and professionalism at every stage. This includes reviewing drawings, specifications, and field conditions to identify issues before they become delays or cost overruns, solving field problems with urgency, and conducting regular site walks, quality-control reviews, punch-list walkthroughs, and closeout coordination. You will partner closely with company leadership to ensure clients remain informed and the overall project experience reflects the firm's reputation for craftsmanship. Required Qualifications 5 or more years of project management experience in residential construction Demonstrated ability to manage multiple active projects, schedules, budgets, and trade relationships concurrently Direct experience working with homeowners, architects, and design professionals in a client-facing role Strong working knowledge of construction sequencing, site logistics, quality control, and residential field operations Ability to read plans, specifications, and finish schedules with a high degree of accuracy Proficiency with project management, scheduling, and construction documentation tools Strong written and verbal communication skills, professional presence, and consistent follow-through Valid driver's license and reliable transportation for travel to Metro Detroit job sites Preferred Qualifications Luxury custom home experience in Birmingham, Bloomfield Hills, Bloomfield Township, or comparable Metro Detroit submarkets Background managing ground-up custom homes, major additions, and complex high-end renovations Familiarity with high-specification finish work, architect-driven custom scopes, and owner allowance management Experience using Buildertrend, Procore, CoConstruct, or comparable residential construction management software Compensation and Benefits Base salary: $105,000 to $115,000 per year, depending on experience Medical, dental, and vision insurance Disability and life insurance 401(k) with employer match Paid time off To apply, submit your resume and a brief summary of the custom residential projects you have managed, including project type, size, and your specific role.
