Job Description

Overview Martin Commercial Properties is seeking an experienced, collaborative Commercial Construction Project Manager to support our team. As Project Manager, you'll be responsible for managing all facets of commercial construction projects — including budget, schedule, design procurement, construction and quality control. Key Responsibilities Manage commercial projects from preconstruction through closeout. Ability to manage time, plan, schedule, organize, and prioritize responsibilities to consistently meet deadlines. Serve as a key liaison between Martin, field leadership, foremen, and self‑perform crews — keeping communication clear and aligned.• Demonstrate strong problem-solving skills and communicate effective solutions while thoughtfully managing risk at both the project and company levels. Lead estimating efforts, bid packages, subcontractor buyout, and contract negotiation Develop and maintain project budgets, schedules, and cost controls. Oversee RFI, change orders, and pay application processes. Coordinate closely with owners, subcontractors, superintendents, and internal teams. Develop short‑interval plans, look‑ahead schedules, and daily work plans to support field teams and maintain project momentum. Manage scope‑specific RFIs, submittals, and procurement, ensuring materials, tools, and equipment are ordered, delivered, and ready when needed. Proactively identify and remove obstacles to support crew success. Champion safety, reinforcing best practices and partnering with our safety team to lead by example. Deliver an exceptional client experience aligned with Martin's standards of excellence. Perform other related duties as assigned. Qualifications and Experience Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management or related field (preferred) 5+ years' proven experience in commercial construction as a Project Manager Demonstrated ownership of the full construction lifecycle Ability to manage multiple concurrent projects with competing priorities Strong communication skills and the ability to build trust with field and office teams Exceptional organizational habits and comfort navigating multiple moving parts High attention to detail and ability to remain calm under pressure A passion for building — and building the right way A commitment to safety, integrity, and quality Technical Skills Ability to easily read and understand blueprints and specifications Proficient in Microsoft 365 including Word, Excel, Project and Outlook Physical Requirements The work often requires daily visits at one or more construction sites. The position is often exposed to sounds and loud noises, such as construction equipment. The job requires the wearing of protective equipment when on the construction site (hardhats, safety glasses, and highly visible clothing). Temperatures and conditions may vary depending on the weather and seasons. Ability to occasionally stand, walk, sit, reach (with hands and arms), climb, balance stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. Must be able to talk, hear, use hands and fingers to handle or feel, be able to use a telephone and operate a keyboard. Be able to frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift or move up to 50 pounds. $80,000.00 - $95,000.00 per year
