Within Unitek's innovative School-in-a-Box model, the Site & Simulation Operations Manager plays a vital role in ensuring the seamless delivery of high-quality, hands-on educational experiences.

This position is responsible for managing day-to-day site operations while providing direct operational and technical support for simulation and skills-based learning activities. Working in close partnership with faculty, the Site & Simulation Operations Manager ensures learning environments are fully prepared, simulation activities are executed efficiently, and students receive exceptional experiential learning opportunities. This role enhances instructional delivery by allowing faculty to focus on teaching while the operational foundation is expertly managed.

Site Operations & Program CoordinationServe as the on-site operational lead for School-in-a-Box instructional delivery.

Coordinate daily site activities, classroom usage, lab scheduling, and space readiness.

Maintain site calendars, in collaboration with the Manager of Faculty Planning & Scheduling, to support labs, simulations, assessments/testing, orientations, and events.

Ensure compliance with institutional policies, accreditation requirements, and safety standards.

Act as a liaison between faculty, campus leadership, and external partners to support smooth program execution.

Simulation & Skills Lab SupportPrepare simulation labs, classrooms, and mobile learning environments for scheduled instructional activities.

Assist faculty with simulation setup, including manikins, task trainers, equipment, supplies, and scenario materials.

Support simulation delivery by managing room readiness, equipment functionality, timing, and transitions.

Assist with maintaining consistency and realism in simulated learning environments.

Perform post-simulation breakdown, reset, and preparation for subsequent sessions.

Faculty Collaboration & Instructional SupportPartner closely with full-time and adjunct faculty to anticipate instructional and simulation needs.

Provide hands-on operational support during labs, simulations, skills practice, and assessments as directed by faculty.

Assist with setup and logistics for skills validations, Objective Structured Clinical Examination (OSCE), and competency evaluations.

Support debriefing workflows through environment reset and equipment organization.

Equipment, Inventory & Environment ManagementManage inventory of simulation equipment, instructional supplies, consumables, and technology.

Monitor equipment condition and coordinate maintenance, repair, and replacement.

Ensure audiovisual systems, computers, and simulation technology are operational and ready for use.

Track usage and manage reordering of supplies in alignment with budgetary guidelines.

Orientation, Graduation & Event PlanningCoordinate logistical planning and on-site execution for student orientations, graduations, and campus events.

Support room setup, audiovisual needs, seating arrangements, signage, and materials distribution for events.

Partner with campus leadership, faculty, and support teams to ensure events are organized, professional, and student-centered.

Assist with scheduling, space coordination, and equipment setup for special programs, ceremonies, and community events.

Serve as on-site operational support during events to ensure a positive experience for students, families, faculty, and guests.

Assessments, Testing, Proctoring Support, and Proctor ManagementSupport setup and administration of proctored exams, skills assessments, and standardized testing activities.

Ensure testing environments meet security, confidentiality, and standardization requirements.

Assist with documentation, reporting, and issue resolution related to assessments.

Hire, train, schedule and manage a proctor pool as determined by the cohort sizes and test frequencyTraining, Documentation & Continuous ImprovementSupport onboarding and training for faculty and staff related to site workflows and simulation environment from an operational perspectiveMaintain site-specific checklists, procedures, and setup documentation to ensure consistency.

Identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency, simulation delivery, and learning environment readiness.

Participate in ongoing professional development related to simulation, safety, and educational best practices.

Other Duties as Assigned. Please note this position is located at our Trinity Hospital Partner Site in Muskegon, MI. This is a Full Time position with flexible schedule required which may include evenings and weekends. QualificationsAssociate degree or demonstrated transferable experience required; Bachelor's degree preferred (healthcare, education, operations, or related field).2-4 years of experience in site operations, laboratory support, simulation environments, or educational program coordination.

Experience supporting hands-on or skills-based learning preferred.

Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills.

Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, student-centered academic environment.

Preferred Skills & CompetenciesKnowledge of simulation-based education or healthcare training environments.

Experience supporting mobile, pop-up, or non-traditional learning spaces.

Proactive approach to operational planning and instructional support.

High attention to detail with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
