We serve both commercial and residential clients throughout the entire state of California who have experienced property damage resulting from water, fire, mold, or storms. JOB SUMMARY
The Project Superintendent is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day tasks of projects on-site. This includes overseeing field Technicians, subcontractors, materials, schedules, safety compliance, and quality control to ensure the project is completed on time, within budget, and according to specifications. The Superintendent serves as the main point of contact for field coordination and enforces project standards and company policies on-site. This role focuses on delivering services on time, of high quality, and ensuring excellent customer satisfaction through professionalism and skill.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Manage On-Site Activities Supervise field Technicians, subcontractors, and vendors. Coordinate daily operations to meet project deadlines and quality standards. Monitor work progress and maintain project schedules. Drive company vehicle/truck, transport equipment, transport technicians. Safety Compliance Enforce safety policies and procedures. Conduct daily/weekly safety meetings and site inspections. Ensure OSHA and company safety standards are met at all times. Scheduling and Coordination Develop and maintain short-interval "look-ahead" schedules. Coordinate delivery and storage of materials and equipment. Identify and resolve issues that could affect project timelines. Communication Daily coordination and communication with project managers, internal teams and clients. Conduct onsite walkthroughs and prepare progress reports. Maintain daily logs and document site activity. Quality Control Ensure that all work meets specs, and quality standards. Perform inspections and oversee work as required. Resource Management Manage equipment and tool usage and availability on-site. Maintain equipment and tools that are clean and in good repair. Escalate to ensure proper staffing and work coverage to optimize productivity.
QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS EXPERIENCE
  • 5+ years of reconstruction field leadership experience
  • Previous experience working on commercial/residential projects required.
SKILLS AND ABILITIES
  • Strong leadership and team management skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
  • Solid understanding of mitigation/reconstruction estimates, drawings, specs, codes, and methods
  • Effective time management and problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to work under pressure and adapt to changing site conditions and staffing levels
  • Strong knowledge of safety standards and consistent application of these standard on project sites
  • Strong communication (verbal and written) with all internal departments in order to facilitate collaboration and excellent customer service.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities
  • Strong technical knowledge and computer literacy.
  • Understanding of standard concepts, practices, and procedures within the restoration and reconstruction field.
  • Exceptional customer service skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop successful client relationships.
  • Ability to travel within the region as required.
EDUCATION AND CERTIFICATIONS
  • High school diploma or GED required.
Certifications:
OSHA 30, CPR/First Aid; other safety or trade certifications are a plus.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS
You must have the ability to walk, climb, and navigate active job sites. You must be able to walk project job sites which include uneven surfaces and climbing stairs. You must occasionally lift and move up to 50 pounds. There is exposure to outdoor conditions and construction noise. Your physical presence may require working in inclement weather. Our business requires emergency preparedness and response as well as the flexibility to be available after normal business hours and on weekends.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
Work is performed in an interior/office work environment and regular physical work on job sites is required. This demands attention to safety and adaptability to changing conditions. The noise level in the work environment may be distracting or loud.
