Job Description

M.I. Construction and Consulting is looking for an individual who likes to excel at the curiosity for learning, gaining experience, and passion in the construction field. Our core business is construction administration and project management that works on residential and commercial projects as well as our partnership with Goldfish Swim School as one of their primary construction managers to assist clients all over the US to develop/build and manage their swim schools. We are also developing new programs for franchisee support based models and expanding our work expertise to other franchisee based models. Finding the right energetic person is what we are all about. One of our largest successes has been assisting as a Construction Adviser for well over 125 locations throughout the United States - Goldfish Swim Schools is the largest United States learn to swim franchisee with over 200 locations in approximately 35 states. MICC has had a unique opportunity to assist owners/franchisor with all development phases including: Pre-construction / site work / utilities checklists and site visits Develop and coordinate LOI's with ownership Assist with test fits and proper layouts of potential spaces Connect with GC's and create/follow through on bidding packages Develop processes to streamline handling of information During construction, work closely with teams on submittals, RFI's, proactive problem solving, tracking the project, assisting in all aspects of daily adviser roles, cost analysis Product procurement / ordering for owner items and coordination Data analysis for estimating and understanding trends Developing and bringing new products to franchisor with cost impacts Developing information packages to push to ownership/design teams Assist ownership on project close outs including punch lists, site visits, close out documentation, follow up and more Develop systems work within this framework including all MEP systems, pool systems, management operations, swim school operations and more Educating owners and subcontractors on their investment and how things work Moving information to teams with fast-paced understanding Ability to read and interpret construction drawings Ability to think out of box and generate new ideas and processes Much much more Software responsibilities include: Solid Microsoft office capabilities Dropbox management tools Construction management software Adobe pdf editing tools Looking for: Energetic Curious Passionate Entrepreneurial spirit Adaptable Core values Other items can include: Travel to job sites Training location ownership Developing direct relationships with suppliers and vendors Internal job advancement opportunities The Assistant Project Manager will work closely with the Project Manager to manage the construction process from test fit through close out. They will have assistance from the Project Engineer and other support staff to help manage key elements of projects.
