Construction Estimator/ Project Manager

Construction Estimator Job Description CPM Construction Inc. is a Michigan based, commercial construction company with experience as a General Contractor, Construction Manager, and Design Builder. Since its establishment in 1989, the company has grown to provide a full range of services to both the public and private sectors serving Michigan, Indiana, Ohio and Illinois. The Estimator actively participates in the planning and pre-construction project coordination, they are responsible for determining the total cost of the construction project and providing budget for owner or architect review. Must have high school diploma or equivalent Must have a minimum of 5 years experience working in construction Ability to accept responsibility and account for his/her actions Ability of being dependable and trustworthy Ability to manage multiple tasks during the work day and update company bid board weekly Ability to work under pressure in a highly productive and competitive environment Ability to see the "big picture" on each individual project Must be proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and Outlook), and related spreadsheet and database software Search for projects out for bid, build relationships with architect and clients to win work Put together project bidding information to send to subcontractors Ability to create pricing based on material and labor take off's, subcontractor quotes, review project plans and specifications and put together project proposals Coordinate with project management team to review projects and hand off awarded work for construction This job description is not intended to represent a complete, comprehensive list of all duties and responsibilities that may be required in this position.
