This position requires a unique blend of project management expertise and hands-on construction skills. You will play a pivotal role in ensuring the successful execution of our diverse range of projects, including new constructions and remodeling, while actively participating in on-site labor.
Responsibilities:
Project Planning and Management:
Collaborate with stakeholders to define project scope, goals, and timelines for both new constructions and remodeling projects. Develop comprehensive project plans, including resource allocation and cost estimation, considering the unique requirements of each project type. Monitor project progress, identify potential risks, and implement necessary adjustments to ensure timely and efficient project completion.
On-site Construction and Remodeling Work:
Engage in hands-on construction and remodeling work, actively leading and participating in various tasks as needed. Demonstrate expertise in construction techniques, including carpentry, tile installation, masonry, plumbing, electrical work, and other relevant trades for both new constructions and remodeling projects. Responsible for project quality, timeliness & adherence to safety protocols.
Supervision and Team Leadership:
Provide leadership and direction to on-site construction teams, ensuring coordination and efficient workflow for both construction and remodeling projects. Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide constructive feedback to team members. Foster a positive and collaborative work environment that promotes productivity and employee development.
Quality Control and Safety Compliance:
Enforce adherence to safety regulations and best practices on the job site for both new constructions and remodeling projects. Implement and oversee quality control procedures to deliver projects to the highest standards. Conduct regular inspections to identify and resolve potential safety hazards or quality issues.
Material Procurement and Inventory Management:
Coordinate with suppliers to procure construction and remodeling materials at competitive prices. Monitor inventory levels and ensure the availability of necessary materials for both types of projects.
Communication and Reporting:
Maintain open communication channels with project stakeholders, providing regular updates on project status and progress for both construction and remodeling projects. Track labor & material consumption on jobs through workforce app submissions.
Requirements:
Proven experience in construction project management and hands-on construction and remodeling work. Strong knowledge of various construction trades, techniques, and safety standards. Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to supervise and motivate construction teams effectively. Excellent organizational and time management abilities to handle multiple projects simultaneously. Proficient in reading blueprints, drawings, and specifications for both new constructions and remodeling projects. Effective problem-solving and decision-making skills to overcome project challenges. Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with diverse teams and stakeholders. Physical fitness and stamina to perform labor-intensive tasks on construction sites. Relevant certifications or licenses in construction management or related fields are a plus.
