  • 135,000 A well-established contractor specializing in water and wastewater treatment facilities is seeking an experienced Construction Superintendent to lead job-site operations.
This is a working superintendent position thatbines field supervision with hands-on construction responsibilities. The Construction Superintendent will oversee safety, scheduling, quality, productivity, subcontractor coordination, andmunication among project stakeholders. The ideal candidate is a dependable, safety-focused leader with strong mechanical aptitude and experience in concrete construction, process piping, and municipal or industrial infrastructure projects. Projects are located within a concentrated regional area, resulting in little to no overnight travel. Construction Superintendent Responsibilities Direct daily job-site activities, ensuring work ispleted safely, efficiently, and according to project plans, specifications, schedules, and quality standards. Coordinate crews, subcontractors, materials, equipment, inspections, and other on-site construction activities. Implement and enforcepany safety programs, conduct safety meetings, and identify or correct potentially hazardous working conditions. Monitor project progress,plete field reports, track employee timecards, andmunicate scheduling or production concerns. Collaborate with project managers, engineers, owners, inspectors, subcontractors, and other project stakeholders. Perform hands-on construction work as needed, including concrete forming and finishing, process piping installation, chemical-feed system installation, and carpentry. Construction Superintendent Qualifications At least 10 years of construction experience in water/wastewater, municipal, industrial, heavy civil, or a closely related field. At least two years of construction supervisory or crew-leadership experience. Experience with concrete forming and finishing for flatwork and walls; experience with Symons forms is preferred. Experience installing ductile iron process piping, mechanical systems, chemical-feed systems, or similar equipment. Strong ability to interpret construction drawings, specifications, schedules, critical-path requirements, and material needs. Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record; Class A CDL is a plus. Knowledge and Skills Strong understanding of construction means, methods, sequencing, and job-site safety practices. Ability to lead, motivate, mentor, and manage employees and subcontractors. Strong planning,anization, problem-solving, and conflict-resolution skills. Ability to perform construction-related math andplex calculations. Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Bluebeam, along with basic scheduling software knowledge. Strong written and verbalmunication skills with a detail-oriented, resourceful, and proactive approach. Physical Requirements Ability to regularly work in active construction environments and varying weather conditions. Ability to occasionally lift and carry up to 100 pounds. Ability to climb ladders and work at heights of up to 30 feet. Ability to perform field work in addition to supervisory and administrative responsibilities.
