373113 About the Job The Construction Project Manager is responsible for schedule, cost, quality, and the overall delivery of projects. The major objectives of the Construction Project Manager Include development and clarification of project scope, schedule, and budget, oversight of project implementation, construction coordination, and material procurement.
Location and Work environment:
This is an in-person position that will work full time on campus.
Work Schedule:
Monday through Friday with a normal shift time of 7:30am-4:00pm.
Primary Responsibilities:
50% Project Management
  • Use construction project management software to plan, monitor, and report on construction projects.
  • Establish initial project scope, including task definition and breakdown in accordance with standard procedures.
  • Create overall project schedule with milestones based on customer needs, labor resources, and material delivery dates.
  • Ensures compliance with university standards, safety and environmental regulations, and ADA standards.
  • Manage the procurement process for all materials and services for projects. Solicit vendor and subcontractor proposals and quotes, evaluate and make awards per purchasing requirements.
  • Complete project close-out, including commissioning, punch list walk-through, occupancy certificates, and warranty information. 25% Customer Service
  • Serves as single point of contact with customers, FM supervisors and crews, consultants, vendors, and University departments to ensure projects meet expectations.
  • Provide project updates and schedule project meetings.
  • Respond to customer questions and concerns. 25% Finance and Budget
  • Provide project cost estimates using established procedures and forms.
  • Responsible for securing project funding from customers and other sources and coordinating with accounting to properly manage project budgets.
  • Review and approve invoices from subcontractors and vendors.
  • Update customers and management on project budgets.
Qualifications Required Qualifications:
BA/BS plus at least two years of experience or a combination of related education and work experience to equal at least six years; applies knowledge and skill to a recurring task or activity with emphasis typically on precision and timeliness of execution.
