Job Description

Overview The Traveling Jobsite Superintendent is responsible for the overall field execution of commercial construction projects, ensuring work is completed safely, efficiently, on schedule, and in accordance with project plans and specifications. The Superintendent serves as the primary onsite leader, coordinating subcontractors, suppliers, owners, inspectors, and field personnel while maintaining the highest standards of quality and safety. Essential Duties & Responsibilities Project Execution Manage daily field operations from project mobilization through final completion. Lead and coordinate all onsite subcontractors, suppliers, and field personnel. Review project plans, specifications, contracts, and schedules prior to project start. Develop and maintain short-term look-ahead schedules. Monitor project progress and identify potential schedule impacts. Coordinate deliveries, equipment, material staging, and site logistics. Ensure work is completed according to plans, specifications, and quality standards. Conduct pre-installation meetings with subcontractors and vendors. Scheduling & Coordination Create and maintain project schedules using Gantt scheduling software. Monitor critical path activities and proactively address delays. Coordinate sequencing of trades to maximize productivity. Participate in project progress meetings and provide schedule updates. Work closely with Project Managers to communicate field conditions, schedule impacts, and resource requirements. Safety Management Enforce company safety policies and OSHA requirements. Conduct daily safety inspections and toolbox talks. Maintain project-specific safety documentation. Identify and correct unsafe conditions immediately. Investigate incidents and complete required reporting. Promote a culture of safety and accountability. Quality Control Implement project quality control plans. Perform routine inspections of work in place. Coordinate corrective actions when deficiencies are identified. Maintain punch lists and oversee completion of corrective work. Ensure project closeout requirements are achieved. Documentation & Reporting Maintain daily reports within Procore. Document weather conditions, manpower, production, deliveries, visitors, and project activities. Upload project photos and field documentation. Track material receipts and inventory. Assist with field measurements and verification of completed work. Leadership Responsibilities Directly supervise field personnel assigned to projects. Coordinate and manage subcontractor performance. Establish daily work plans and production goals. Provide leadership, coaching, and accountability to field teams. Promote teamwork and professional conduct on all job sites. Represent Huot Construction & Services, Inc. professionally with owners, inspectors, and project stakeholders.
Qualifications Required Qualifications, Technical Skills, & Certifications:
Minimum 5 years of commercial construction superintendent experience. Ability to read and interpret plans, specifications, shop drawings, and project manuals. Strong understanding of commercial construction means and methods. Experience managing multiple subcontractors and project schedules. Strong communication and leadership skills. Ability to obtain and maintain government security clearances and pass background checks as required. OSHA 10 Certification (required) Proficient with: Procore Microsoft Outlook Microsoft Word Microsoft Excel Microsoft Teams TeamGantt or equivalent Gantt scheduling software Ability to create and maintain construction schedules.
Preferred Qualifications, Technical Skills, & Certifications :
Commercial roofing experience. Demonstrated experience with EPDM roofing systems. Experience with Federal Government construction projects. Experience working in correctional facilities, military installations, healthcare facilities, or occupied buildings.

Requirements Physical Requirements Ability to climb ladders, scaffolding, and access rooftops. Ability to walk active construction sites for extended periods. Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds. Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions. Ability to perform site inspections in elevated and confined spaces.
Travel Requirements Travel required:
75-100% Extended overnight and out-of-state travel required. (Mainly Midwest) Must possess a valid driver's license and acceptable driving record. Ability to work flexible schedules, including nights and weekends when required by project demands.

$1,250.00 - $2,650.00 per week
