Minimum 5 years of construction experience Position Overview Pioneer Window Works, a division of Marathon Building Environments, is seeking an experienced Construction Project Manager / Lead Installer to join our team. This is a hands-on position that combines construction project management, field supervision, and installation work . The ideal candidate is an experienced construction professional who can manage projects from field verification through final completion while also working alongside our installation crews when needed. Pioneer Window Works provides and installs commercial and residential metal canopies, canvas awnings, blinds, and manual and motorized window shades . Our projects range from large commercial walkway canopy installations exceeding 200 linear feet to residential window treatment installations. This position requires regular communication with general contractors, customers, our department manager, and installation crews to ensure projects are completed safely, correctly, on schedule, and to our quality standards . Projects are located throughout Missouri and portions of eastern Kansas. Approximately 35% overnight travel should be expected, with the majority of projects located in central Missouri or within day-trip distance. Primary Responsibilities
  • Manage and oversee field installation projects from start through completion.
  • Coordinate daily activities with installers, general contractors, customers, and the department manager.
  • Perform hands-on installation and construction work as workload requires.
  • Verify field conditions, dimensions, installation requirements, and jobsite readiness.
  • Review and interpret architectural drawings, plans, specifications, and installation details.
  • Organize project tasks, manpower, materials, equipment, and installation schedules.
  • Monitor project progress, productivity, quality, and timelines.
  • Maintain detailed jobsite documentation, field notes, photographs, punch lists, and project records.
  • Identify and troubleshoot field installation issues and develop practical solutions.
  • Ensure installations meet company quality and safety standards.
  • Communicate project status, scheduling issues, material needs, and potential problems to the department manager.
  • Maintain professional communication with customers and general contractors.
  • Assist with deliveries and transportation of smaller materials when necessary.
  • Safely operate hand tools, power tools, ladders, scissor lifts, and boom lifts. Qualifications
  • Minimum 5 years of construction experience required.
  • Previous experience leading crews, supervising installations, or managing construction projects strongly preferred.
  • Strong working knowledge of construction methods and jobsite practices.
  • Ability and willingness to perform hands-on construction and installation work.
  • Ability to read and interpret architectural drawings and construction documents.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Excellent troubleshooting, critical-thinking, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Professional appearance and demeanor when working with customers, contractors, and other trades.
  • Comfortable using a tablet for project documentation, communication, photographs, drawings, and job information.
  • Ability to work independently and make sound field decisions.
  • Ability to take direction while also taking ownership of assigned projects.
  • Ability to safely use hand and power tools and work from ladders and elevated work platforms.
  • Ability to lift and carry up to 100 pounds.
  • Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions, including heat and cold.
  • Willing and able to travel throughout Missouri and eastern Kansas, including approximately 35% overnight travel.
  • Reliable personal vehicle required for travel to certain job sites and occasional transportation of smaller materials. Business mileage is reimbursed.
  • Must be able to pass background checks required for work at government facilities and public schools. Required Licenses & Certifications Candidates must possess or obtain:
  • OSHA 10 certification within the first 10 business days of employment.
  • Missouri Class E driver's license within the first 10 business days of employment.
  • Scissor lift and boom lift certification within the first 90 days of employment. Compensation $40.00
