  • Full-time Seeking an experienced construction superintendent who wants to work for an established multiple Award Winning, Historic Restoration Contractor.
At Neal Group Construction (NGC), we have proven 100-year old buildings can be given better next centuries. Our retrofits use State and Federal Historic Tax Credits and other programs to turn derelict buildings into vibrant, energy efficient sources of community pride. A successful new team member will take pride in his work and want to make a difference. NGC is Southwest Missouri's premier historic restoration company, working primarily on commercial and residential buildings in the Joplin Area. Pending workload will ensure our new construction superintendent has an immediate impact on company operations.
SUPERINTENDENT JOB DUTIES
Responsible for leading and organizing job site progress. Ideal candidate is computer literate, has strong carpentry skills, and a thorough understanding of construction systems. Works well against deadlines and organizes workflow to avoid interruptions while dealing with unforeseen challenges. Manages subcontractors and maintains an organized and safe work environment.
This position requires:
project scheduling, layout, and planning, plus hands on field leadership.
ESSENTIAL SKILLS
  • Willingness to work as part of the team and get your hands dirty.
  • Minimum 5 years general construction experience with the ability to supervise and lead projects, an eye for detail and a strong commitment to meet project schedules.
  • Hard-worker and motivated and willing to learn and teach, with the ability to direct, manage, and be an example to in house crews
  • Strong organizational skills with the desire to collaborate with other staff members, architects, clients, and subcontractors
  • Possess good verbal and written communication skills, computer literate, and has a professional appearance and approach.
  • General knowledge of Microsoft Office Products, budgeting and scheduling software experience a plus
  • Strong carpentry skills a plus
