Commercial Construction•Data Centers / Mission Critical Overview A Top 10 ENR-ranked General Contractor is seeking an experienced Senior Superintendent to lead field operations on large-scale Data Center and Mission Critical projects . This role is responsible for managing all on-site construction activities while ensuring projects are delivered safely, on schedule, and to the highest quality standards. This position is best suited for a hands-on construction leader with proven success executing highly technical, fast‑paced mission critical builds. Key Responsibilities Manage all daily jobsite operations, including safety, schedule, quality, and subcontractor coordination Plan and control short-term and long-term look-ahead schedules in coordination with the project team Lead and supervise field staff, craft labor, and subcontractors across multiple scopes of work Enforce site‑specific safety plans and ensure full compliance with company and regulatory requirements Maintain and distribute construction documents including drawings, RFIs, bulletins, and field reports Verify layout, means and methods, and workmanship to ensure compliance with plans, benchmarks, and tolerances Implement quality control procedures including first‑in‑place inspections and deficiency tracking Track daily progress through detailed reports, photographs, sketches, and construction software Coordinate material procurement and site logistics to meet project schedule demands Lead pre‑construction meetings, daily planning meetings, and task‑specific coordination sessions Interface directly with owners, inspectors, and stakeholders to report progress and resolve issues Support permitting, inspections, testing, commissioning, and project turnover activities Train and mentor Field Engineers and junior superintendents Collaborate with engineering and leadership teams to resolve field challenges and improve construction methods Required Qualifications 5-10+ years of construction field experience , including Superintendent or Senior Superintendent roles
Required:
Data Center and/or Mission Critical project experience Strong knowledge of construction documents, scheduling, safety programs, and quality control Ability to read and interpret plans, specifications, and technical drawings Proven experience managing subcontractors and large field teams Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment Experience using construction management software and reporting tools Solid problem‑solving and decision‑making skills Work Environment This position requires a daily on‑site presence in active construction environments, including walking job sites and climbing ladders when needed. Some office-based tasks are required using standard computer and communication equipment.
