Janitorial Area Manager

Job Summary:

The Janitorial Area Manager oversees multiple janitorial teams across various client sites or facilities. This role ensures high standards of cleanliness, safety, and customer satisfaction while managing staff, supplies, and operational efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

Team Management:

Supervise and support cleaning staff across assigned locations. Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide coaching.

Operations Oversight:

Ensure all cleaning tasks are completed according to contract specifications and quality standards. Schedule staff shifts and manage coverage for absences or emergencies. Monitor inventory and order cleaning supplies and equipment as needed.

Client Relations:

Serve as the primary point of contact for clients regarding janitorial services. Conduct site inspections and address client concerns promptly. Ensure compliance with client expectations and contractual obligations.

Health & Safety:

Enforce safety protocols and ensure staff are trained in proper cleaning procedures. Respond to incidents and ensure proper documentation and follow-up.

Reporting & Administration:

Maintain accurate records of employee attendance, inspections, and supply usage. Prepare reports for upper management on performance metrics and operational issues.

Qualifications:

1+ years of experience in janitorial or facilities management, with supervisory experience. Strong leadership and communication skills. Ability to manage multiple sites and teams effectively. Knowledge of cleaning chemicals, equipment, and OSHA standards. Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.

$43,000.00 - $47,000.00 per year
